Leoda Thompson

Leoda M. Thompson, 65, of Circleville, died April 19, 2008 in Circleville. She was born March 28, 1943 in Orgas, WV, the daughter of Shelby and Virginia (Harper) Ferrell. Loeda was a former youth soccer coach and the first women president of the Circleville Youth Soccer League and enjoyed hunting mushrooms, fishing and shopping. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Ricky and Clyde; sister-in-law, Judy Ferrell and father and mother-in-law, Virgil and Alma Thompson. Leoda is survived by her husband, Bobby G. Thompson; children, Lisa (Mario) Aguirre, Bobby G. Thompson II and Emily Thompson all of Circleville; grandchildren, Danny, Savannah, Garion Leoda, Shelby and Turtle; brother, Carl (Brenda) Ferrell of Beckley, WV; sisters, Kay (Roger) Daniel of Conover, NC and Mildred (Andy) Martin of Boardman; sisters-in-law, Vicky Ferrell of Whitesville, WV and Betty Rich of Columbus; brothers-in-law, Jack (Dolores) Thompson of Marmet, WV, Bill (Stella) Thompson of Sophia, WV and Jeff (Janet) Thompson of Holley, WV and special cousin, Linda Mellert of St. Albins, WV. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Interment will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
