Lloyd Eldon Minor, 86 of Circleville, passed away peacefully at Kobacker House-Hospice on May 5, 2010. He was born August 11, 1923 in Kingston, the son of Arthur Leo and Thelma Pearl (Merriman) Minor. He graduated from Buckskin High School, was a lifelong farmer, member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Aladdin Shrine and Elks Lodge #77. He was a right-fielder on the former Top Hat Softball team in Circleville and participated in the Elks bowling leagues. Lloyd especially enjoyed his family, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Marvin E. Routt; brothers, Ernest Scott (Ruth) Minor, Lawrence Durward Minor, Garland Lewis (Jane) Minor and John Harold Minor. He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean (Trimmer) Minor whom he married on March 19, 1945 in Greenup, KY; children, Linda Jean (Roger) Coleman of Marysville, James Eldon (Joanne) Minor and Sally Ann (Keith Osborne) Walters, both of Circleville; grandchildren, Jooli (Ron) Osterholt, Robert (Sherry) Diltz, Jeffrey (Gwen) Minor, Gregory (Michelle) Minor, Christine (Mark) Dudgeon and Jennifer (Micah) Hall; great grandchildren, Ellie and Afton Osterholt, Jared and Darby Minor, Riley and Reid Minor, Marcy and Bryson Dudgeon, Josey Walters, Tanner Schmitt and Jesse Hall; step great grandchildren, Bryan (Ashley) Meade, Sean (Sarah) Meade and Julie Meade; brother, Ronald Leo (Grace) Minor of Chillicothe; sister-in-law, Elisa Minor Hagen of Summit, Mississippi; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Eugene and Constance Mowery of Englewood and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May 11, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Internment of cremated remains will be in Jackson Twp. Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, Kobacker Hospice or the Central Ohio Parkinson Society.
