Lloyd Stump

Lloyd E. Stump, 81, of Circleville, died September 9, 2013 at his residence. He was born November 2, 1931 in Hocking County, the son of Milton and Maud (Harden) Stump. He was an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, attended Pleasantview United Methodist Church, was an avid Buckeye Fan and retired from General Electric after 42 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st. wife, Peggy (Seymour) Stump; sisters, Mildred Swackhammer, Florence Stevens and Elsie Tisdale and brother, Wallace Stump. He is survived by his 2nd wife, Peggy (Jones) Stump, whom he married in July, 1985; children, Patti (Tod) White and Gary (Shawn) Stump; step children, Kenneth Jones and Cathy (Steven) Smith; 11 grandchildren, Travis (Stacy) White, Staci White, Ryan (Kara) Stump, Hillary Stump, Tyler Stump, Ben Jones, Andrew Jones, Jeremiah Smith, Joshua (Molly) Smith, Marita Smith and Caitlin Smith and sister, Lorretta May. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 12, 2013 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville. Burial will be in Green Summit Cemetery with military graveside service. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Berger Hospice, Dr. Arnold Palmer and Dr. Richard Golberg and staff at the James Cancer Center.
