Beloved mother Lois Hunley-Wilson went peacefully to be with her Lord and savior on the 14th of September, 2013. Lois was a radiant Christian, ardent prayer warrior and a constant encouragement to her family, church, and many friends. Lois was born on April 1, 1924 in Somerset, Kentucky, the first born child of Everett Boston Hunley and Martha Roy-Hunley. Sister Donna-Hunley Edwards of Somerset, is the remaining child of the Hunley family. On September 21, 1942 Lois married Ed Wilson of Somerset, (beloved father passed from this life on September 15, 1982.) Their love built a family that includes daughters Sharon Schall and Diane Ward, son-in-law Herb Schall, grandchildren Christian Ward, Cynthia Hughes, Eric Schall-Susi Schall, and great grandchildren, Carter Ward, Landon Ward, Ally Schall, and Josiah Schall - known to them as “Mimi.” Also part of the circle of the Hunley, Wilson, Adkins family are dear nephews, nieces, sister’s in law, Charlene Adkins-Phelps, Myron Wilson-Malcolm, Ruby Newell, and special daughter of Lois’s heart, Elaine Fortmeyer, of Fort Wayne, Indiana.) Lois often said “I simply wanted to be a wife, mother and homemaker, to create a safe and nurturing home for my family.” Others often said of her, “there is such a kindness and gracious spirit around Lois.” Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon on Thursday September 19, 2013 at Circleville Church of the Nazarene on Walnut Creek Pike, Circleville, Ohio. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In memory of Lois, the family requests only your prayer. We are grateful for your friendship and your kindness for Lois. However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived – the things God has prepared for those who love him” 1 Corinthians 2:9. Arrangements completed by the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville.
