Loring James "Jim" Allen

Loring James “Jim” Allen passed away at his home, surrounded by his loved ones, on Friday, June 23, 2023.  He was born in Circleville, Ohio on January 17, 1933 to the late Loring and Helen (Miller) Allen.  On May 28, 1954 Jim married the love of his life, Teresa, who survives him.  He was a 1951 graduate of Circleville High School, a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of Heritage Nazarene Church.  Jim retired from E.I. Dupont in 1991 after 33 years of service.  Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend and is also survived by daughters Karen Allen, Nashport, Ohio; Debra (Randall) Wells, Blacklick, Ohio; Angela (J Michael) Hollingshead, Alexandria, Ohio; grandchildren Dawn (Javier) Gonzalez, Pickerington, Ohio; Jonathon (Jessica) Sabine, Dresden, Ohio; Kellie (Christopher) Berlean, Miamisburg, Ohio; Lindsay Green, Zanesville, Ohio; and 12 great-grandchildren.  Jim is also survived by his sister, Beverly Whitten, Williamsport, Ohio as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his sisters Rea Werner and Marjorie Vogt as well as brothers Richard and Paul.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville.  Visitation for Jim will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00.  Burial will be at Hitler Ludwig Cemetery.    Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
