Lowell C. Toland, 84, of Circleville, died July 3, 2008 at Brown Memorial Nursing Home. He was born June 8, 1923 in Jackson County, the son of Vernon and Mary (Walls) Toland. He was retired from Carpenters Local 200, Army veteran of WWII, member of First Freewill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, former member of React, Red Cross, Sertoma and volunteer for Police and Sheriff Department, and a 50 year member of Salt Creek Valley Grange. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Norma Jean (Keller) Toland. He is survived by his daughters, Sandra (Walter) Seymour and Linda (John) Lovely; granddaughter, Nikiya Fout who they raised like a daughter; grandchildren, Clark (Trudy) Fout, Jr., Kim (Todd) Stonerock, Kristina Lovely and John W. (Pam) Lovely, Jr.; 6 great grandchildren, Nicholas Fout, Connor Stonerock, Tristan and Shana Manbevers, Michael and Chessney Lovely; 2 great great grandchildren, Trey and Blake Wooten. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday July 7, 2008 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery with military honors. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Brown Memorial.
