Lucia May

Lucia “Lucy” M. May, 65, of Circleville, died March 7, 2012 at her residence. She was born June 2, 1946 in Ancon, Canal Zone, Panama the daughter of Alejandro and Carmen (Gutierrez) Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Saturina Martin, brother, Alejandro Martin and father-in-law, Harrison W. May. She was a 1966 graduate of Harrisville High School, WV and volunteered at Berger Hospital for 15 years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt, neighbor and friend to the Ohio State Highway Patrol family and enjoyed the Bahamas, sun, beaches and casinos. Lucy was proud of her Panamanian Heritage, but even more so her United States Citizenship. She is survived by her husband, Jeff May; children, Todd (Megan Graham) May of Circleville and Lisa (Jeff Parsons) May of Troy; sisters, Carmen (Alfredo) Acuna of Costa Rica and Dolores Martin of Panama City, Panama; brothers, Arturo Martin of Panama City, Panama and Franciso Martin of Sierra Vista, AZ; mother-in-law, Betty Jane May of Zanesville; brother and sister-in-law, Mike (Jane) May of Zanesville; nephews and nieces, Christopher May of Columbus, Rebekah (Wesley) Archer of Zanesville, Sarah (Aaron Gentry) May of Loveland, Clint Martin of L.A., Alfredo Acuna of Costa Rica and Andy Martin of Panama City, Panama. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 13, 2012 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Berger Hospice and or your Charity of Choice.
