Marcellus Young

Marcellus “M L” Young, 94, of Laurelville, died Dec. 30 2009 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born Feb. 9 1915 Franklin County, the son of Charles and Ida (Shupe) Young. Since 1936 he has been instrumental in Young’s Fooodtown, a member of Trinty Methodist Church, he was the 16th member of the National Corvette Restorers Society and he loved boating. He was preceded in death by his wife, Madge (Mortle) Young, one grandson and 2 brothers. He is survived by sons, Roger (Pat) of Venice FL, Mick (Linda) and Max (Linda) of Laurelville and John (Rhonda) of Lakeland FL, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild and sister, Mary Elizabeth Hampton of Junction City. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville. Burial will be in Green Summit Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
