Mary Gloyd

Mary E. Gloyd, 78, of Ashville, died March 23, 2011 at Mt. Carmel West. She was born May 30, 1932 in Pike County, the daughter of Elza and Alvira (Harris) Kuhn. She was employed by her best friend, Gretchen Featheringham for 55 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reed J. Gloyd, Jr.; brothers, Everett, James Alvin and Cecil Kuhn and sister, Kathryn Kise. Mary and Reed had no children but they were second parents to nephew, Danny Mettler; special aunt to, Ashtin, Hunter and Hadleigh Mettler; survived by brothers, Charles E. Kuhn of Circleville, Woody Kuhn of Pickerington, Don Kuhn of Lockbourne and Ken Kuhn of Circleville; sisters, Rosa Clements of Columbus and Dorothy Mettler of Ashville; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday March 28, 2011 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Ashville, with Pastor Randall Kuhn officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from Sunday 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
