Mary Lemaster

Mary Dorothy Lemaster, 83, of Circleville, left Berger Hospital Respite, September 27, 2009. Her daughters, Sally & Shirley who had been her caregivers during her 5 month illness and Julia Jolley, a very special PTC and one of several who helped with her care while she was a patient in Berger Hospital, were with her when she went to meet Jesus and her family and friends that have gone before. She was born August 2, 1926 in Hocking County, the middle and last surviving child of Gurney and Lily (Hoy) Smith. On March 18, 1953 she married Norfus “Sandy” Lemaster who died February 1, 2007. She attended Harrisburg Pilgrim Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda Diann; son, Richard; sisters, Bernice Smith, Marie Ward, Luella Newton, Leona Routte, Margie Schaeffer and Monabelle Arledge and brothers, Voyden, Albert, Jessie, Ralph, Herman, Lloyd, Nolan and Nelson Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Sally and Shirley Lemaster of Circleville, Sharon (Mike) Benedum of Galion and Sandra (Carl) Robinson of Erlanger, KY; grandchildren, Jodi Ramey, Carrie Lemaster, Amy Burchette, Ryan Hottell, Eric Allen, Heather Bly and Tylor Lemaster and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday October 1, 2009 with Rev. Richard Smith at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Jackson Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Pickaway County Hands for Disabled, Harrisburg Pilgrim Holiness Church or Berger Hospice.
