Biography For 77 years Mary M. Lloyd touched our lives with her quick wit, stunning smile and more importantly her constant friendship & love. Mary, often referred to by "Max", passed away on July 6, 2007 at Berger Hospital.

She was born on October 15, 1929 in Pickaway County, the daughter of Roy and Viola (Pritchard) Strawser. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter-Kathy; brothers- Roy & Harold Strawser; sisters- Evelyn Leist, Mildred Keller; sister-in-law – Mary Lee Strawser; and niece – Patricia Leist.

Mary will be missed and always loved by her surviving daughter, Deborah (Tom) Hutchinson of Circleville; son, Gordon (Elizabeth) Lloyd, Jr. of Circleville; 9 grandchildren: Heather (Brad) Foll, Shane Arledge, Krist'n & Justin Hutchinson, Brenna (Eric) Riddle, Joey (Nate) Conrad, & Holly Lloyd, Greg (Bridget) Shaw, Tiffany (Marcus) Blum; and 10 great-grandchildren: Samantha Keeton, Grace, Sofia, Jackson & Ava Riddle, Owen & Charlie Conrad, Alexandria, Brittany, & Callie Shaw.

Mary shared her life with and is survived by sister- Virginia Karshner of Laurelville, brothers- Ray (Ann) Strawser of Texas & John Strawser of Circleville, sister-in-law- Eleanor Strawser of Circleville and brother-in-law- Norman Leist of Circleville. Growing up, Mary proved to be the mother hen of all of her siblings and they have all been proud to say she still had been in their adult lives. Not only was she proud of her siblings but she was proud of her numerous nieces and nephews as well.

Mary was proud to be an independent, head-strong woman who was a true business professional in and for Pickaway County. From 1980 to 1994, she kept both Bob and Roy Huffer on their toes as their legal/office assistant for Huffer & Huffer Law Firm of Circleville. She loved not only what she did but the people she worked with. Mary was well-known through these years for her work with the Professional Business Women's Association, the Legal Secretaries Association, and membership with the Amvets Ladies Auxillary.

Calling Hours will be Sunday, July 8th from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. and funeral service will be held Monday, July 9th at 10 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Please come celebrate her life and share with her family the legacy she has left all of us. Memorial contributions can be made to Berger / Pickaway County Hospice.
