Mary Mccown

Mary F. Harrison McCown, 91, of Circleville, died June 15, 2010 at Circleville Care and Rehabilitation. She was born May 13, 1919 in Ross County, the daughter of Robert and Goldie (Wine) McKitrick. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Christian Union since 1965 and was involved in many organizations in church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl McCown; daughter, Shirly Ann Harrison; sister, Dolly Ann McKitrick-Becker-Spears and daughter-in-law, Dorothy Harrison. She is survived by her children, Ronald (Maxine) Harrison, Joy (Robert) Brown and Robert “Sonny” Harrison all of Circleville; grandchildren, Robert (Carla) Brown of Circleville, Rhonda (Brian) Hupp of Laurelville, Tara (Chris) Stant, Lennie (Kathy) Gibbs and Karen (David) Cottrell all of Circleville; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Thomas (Charlotte) McKitrick, of IL and nephews and niece, Ralph (Phyllis) Becker of Circleville, Harry Becker of MD, Mary Ann Counts of MS and Phillip McKitrick of IL. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday June 18, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastors Mike Holbrook, Greg Gardner and Urban Adams officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Berger Hospice.
