Mary H. Preast, 88, of Circleville, passed away January 2, 2012. She was born on October 21, 1923 in St. Albert, Alberta Canada, the daughter of Philip and Anne (Panchyshyn) Poloway. She met and married Clyde Preast while he was stationed with the U.S. Army Air Corps in Edmonton, Alberta Canada during World War II. She was a member of theTrinity Lutheran Church. She was an avid quilter and euchre player. She belonged to a quilting group and a euchre card club. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 51 years, Clyde E. Preast; infant son, Dale John; daughter, Jane Ann (Preast) Mets; sister, Stella Sommers and brother, John Poloway. She is survived by her son, Clyde (Linda) Preast; daughter, Deborah (John) Moore; grandchildren, Brian (Sheri) Moore and Laura (Bryan) Muck; great grandchildren, Taylor, Cain, Brenton and Olivia Muck and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday January 6, 2012 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastor Paul Young officiating. Burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Berger Hospice.
