Mary M. Weaver 89, of Laurelville, died February 2, 2013 at the Pickering House. She was born on December 22, 1923 in Adelphi, the daughter of Arthur and Jennie (Neff) Congrove. She cared for veterans in her home for 19 years and involved them in many activities that were available to them, they especially loved her cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Weaver; brothers, Monroe, Arthur, Donald, Hugh and Richard “Dick” Congrove and sisters, Pauline Schooley, Jennie Fetherolf, Mabel Pringle and Agnes Fetherolf. She is survived by her daughter, Sue Ann (David) Hinton of Laurelville; granddaughters, Darma (Brian) Taimuty and Kimberly (Dwayne) Tatman; great grandchildren, Jenna and Alaina Taimuty and Brody Tatman; sister, Imogene Notestone; many special nieces and nephews; special friend, Gerald Stevens; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert “Bob” & Louise Weaver; sisters-in law, Alberta “Bert” Congrove and Faye Congrove. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday February 7, 2013 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville with Pastors James Vandagriff and Brian Davis officiating. Burial will be in Tarlton Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 hour prior to the funeral on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or Fair Hope Hospice.
