Matilda B. Peck Thomas, 95, of Circleville, she went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 15, 2017. She was born on March 6, 1922 in Ross County, the daughter of David and Stella (Murphy) Kline. She was the last living member of the Kingston High School Class of 1939, a member of Springbank United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women and member of the Goodtime Quilters. During World War II she worked at the Powder Factory then worked for Mead Corporation and retired as a real estate agent after many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Robert E. Peck and Verneal Thomas; 1 grandson; 1 great granddaughter; brothers, Charles, Dick, John and George Kline and sister, Kathryn Clark. She is survived by her children, Beverly Butt, Janet Smith, Gregory R. (Lucy) Peck and Nancy Wheatley; step-children, David (Sue) Thomas, Shirley (Mike) Cox and Amelia (Harold) Stevens, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and sisters, Mary Hoffman and Martha (James) Peters. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 20, 2017 at the Springbank United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Wade officiating. Burial will be in Springbank Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville and after 10 a.m. at the church on Saturday. Family requests memorial contributions to charity of choice.
