Maude Leatherwood

Maude L. Leatherwood passed from this life Monday, May 7th, 2012 at Logan Elm Health Care, Circleville, Ohio, following a long illness. She was born August 15, 1915, in Waverly, Ohio, to the late Edward and Viola (Cottrell) Detillion. She was the youngest of six children, all deceased. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Glenn E. Leatherwood. She is survived by one daughter Sonia (Neil) Frazier, granddaughter Melissa Frazier, and great-grandson Kreg Agin, all of Ashville, brother-in-law Gale (Ann) Leatherwood, Ashville, sister-in-law Joann Leatherwood, Circleville, Ohio, many nieces and nephews, and special friend Stephanie Lane. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Christian Union, Circleville, Ohio, and later attended Hedges Chapel CCCU in Ashville, Ohio.
Due to her request there will be no calling hours. A private family graveside service will be planned at Evergreen Cemetary, in Waverly, Ohio.
The family would like to express their thanks to the caring and dedicated staff of Logan Elm Health Care and Odyssey Hospice for the care of our loved one. A heart felt thanks to our Pastor, Rev. Ron Reese, and our church family at Hedges Chapel CCCU for their visits, cards, prayers and concern for her and the family. Special thanks for the warm and loving care of Kim Clemmons, her hospice nurse, and to “Pastor Jim” Blankenship, hospice Chaplain.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Hedges Chapel CCCU Church, of Ashville, Ohio. Arrangements were completed by the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville.
