Melvin Disbennett, 80, of Kingston went to be with Jesus in Heaven on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 11:30 p.m. following an extended illness. He was born on November 30, 1935 in Hocking County to Harry and Wilma (Steele) Disbennett. He married Martha Jane Lee on April 6th, 1957 who survives. Melvin retired from Buckeye Shape and Form. He enjoyed quality time with his family, fishing, watching westerns, and he loved animals. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother; Dale Disbennett. Melvin is survived by his wife, daughter; Lisa (Rob) Jenkins of Kingston, grandchildren; Jeremy (Rachel) Disbennett, Bobby (Kacey) Jenkins and Tiffany (Dustin) Molebash all of Kingston, great grandchildren; Destiny Reeser of Kentucky, Jeremy Disbennett Jr., Gavin Smith, and Lukas Jenkins both of Kingston, brother; Marvin (Lavonna) Disbennett and sisters; Donna (Jim) Thornton and Helen Bradford and by sister-in-law; Tina Disbennett. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home with Pastor James Vandagriff officiating. Burial will follow in Meade Cemetery.
