It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Thomas Moore announces his sudden passing on June 25, 2024. He was 52 at the time of his passing. Michael was the much-loved son of G. Thomas and Patricia Moore and brother of Maresa and Ryan. He was the proud uncle of Liam, Macy and Grayson. Michael’s childhood was spent in Bellevue, Ohio until his family moved to Circleville his sophomore year. He graduated from Logan Elm High School in 1992 where he earned a varsity letter in Track & Field, served as a manager for the football team, and was a member of National Honor Society. He was also active in the Columbian Squires, a Knights of Columbus youth organization. Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Gerontology with a gerontology certification from the University of Findlay and a masters degree in Public Administration from Cleveland State University. While in college, Michael wrote political commentary for the school newspaper. He also worked at an ad agency and a bank in the Cleveland area. During summer college breaks, he was employed at Logan Elm Health Care and Cedar Point. Michael was a lover of nature enjoying long trail walks. He was an accomplished artist and as a teen took private oil painting classes. He enjoyed traveling, having recently returned from a European tour. His love of travel took him to Alaska, the Caribbean, and down the Mississippi River on cruises. He was well traveled in the United States. For the past 15 plus years, he worked as a Honda associate at the Honda Marysville Plant. He was especially proud of the cars he helped build. Michael’s life was well lived. He loved his family and leaves behind many happy memories. Wellman Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on June 28, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Church in Circleville. Michael’s burial service will be at the Bellevue Catholic Cemetery in Bellevue, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial donations will be welcomed by Luther Home of Mercy, P.O. Box 187, Williston, Ohio 43468-0187.
