Mildred Stauffer

Mildred C. Stauffer, 87, of Circleville, died April 9, 2010 at Pickaway Manor. She was born September 11, 1922 in Pickaway County, the daughter of Clarence and Lois (McPherson) Hancher, Sr. She was a charter employee of General Electric, Circleville. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Clarence “Buck” Hancher, Jr. She is survived by her husband, James Stauffer of 46 years; step sons, James A. (Betty) Stauffer and Rodney Stauffer of Circleville; step daughter, Deborah (James) Davis of Chillicothe; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Jean Schiff of Ashville and Jane (Jerry) Winfough of Circleville; brother and sister-in-laws, Howard (Rita) Stauffer of Chillicothe and Jo Ann (Leon) Wright of Columbus; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 13, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Harrison Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
