Monte D. “Buck” Bainter, 70, of Circleville, passed away August 8, 2008 following a brief illness. He was born July 9 1938 in Hocking Co. the son of the late Edward and Juanita (Shaw) Bainter. He was also preceded in death by sisters Sharon Weaver and Deborah Cottrill and brother Wade Wagner. Buck retired from Columbia Gas after 40 years and continued working pipeline jobs until the time of his death. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Buck was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing with all the boys. He attended Faith Community Church in Logan. He is survived by his devoted wife Nancy J. (Ebert) Bainter whom he was married to for nearly 49 years; son Monte D. (Jodi) Bainter II of Zanesville and 2 beloved granddaughters Ellie and Lanie, special nephew 1st Sgt. Jason Hettinger and his son Branden Hettinger, sisters Marilyn (Bill) Murdock and Lisa Hill both of Lancaster, brother Lyle (Judy) Bainter of Logan as well as many dear relatives and friends whom he loved. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 14, 2008 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Cremation will follow. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Community Church, Logan.
