Myrtle Knisley, 89, of Washington Court House passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 3:24 a.m. at Chillicothe Nursing and Rehab Center, with friends and family close by her side.
Mrs. Knisley was born in Prestonburg, Kentucky on July 22, 1920 to George and Margaret (Hunt) Lewis. She worked for Wright Patterson AFB during WWII. She and her husband Harold raised race horses that raced in Columbus and in Lebanon, Ohio. She enjoyed quilting and lovingly made numerous quilts for family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harold Knisley in 1999.
Mrs. Knisley is survived by her six children, Harry Lee (Wanda) Goble of TN, Alberta (Ron) Wright of Eaton, OH, Connie Ingram (April Blanton) of Washington C.H., Nancy (Douglas) Johnson of Grove City, Sheila (Anthony) McNeal of Columbus, Raleigh Ingram of Frankfort. She was loved by 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Knisley will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in the Wellman-Kinzer Funeral Home with burial to follow in Washington Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30.
