Nancy Bainter

Nancy J. Bainter, 68, of Circleville, died peacefully at home while surrounded by family October 17, 2009. Nancy has gone to reunite with her devoted husband of 49 years, the late Monte D. “Buck” Bainter. She was born August 16, 1941, the eldest daughter of the late Lester and Marjorie Ebert. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Tom and Roger Ebert. Nancy leaves a lifetime of cherished memories to her only son, Monte D. (Jodi) Bainter of Zanesville and her two treasured granddaughters Ellie and Lanie Bainter; special nephew 1st Sgt. Jason Hettinger of the US Army and his son Branden; brothers Charlie (Sondra) Ebert of Laurelville and Tim Ebert of Lancaster; sisters Sue (Larry) McNichols of Laurelville and Alice (Dave) Smith of Lancaster; sisters-in-law Bonnie Ebert, Marilyn (Bill) Murdock and Lisa J. Hill as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Nancy valued her friendship with co-workers from GE, North End Market, RCA, Brooks-Yates School and Pickaway Diversified Industries (PDI) from which she retired in 2000. She was passionate about her work with PDI and championed rights and respect for people with Development Disabilities. “Nan” will be remembered as a nurturing caregiver to many who needed respite care, a little boost, a home-cooked meal or a place to stay. She enjoyed socializing with her card club, going on “girls’ getaways”, communing with her church family, cooking for her boys and lovingly spoiling her granddaughters. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday October 21, 2009 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastor Jeff Moats officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday. The family asks that donations in Nancy’s name be made to Pickaway Co. Board of Development Disabilities, 200 E. High St. Circleville, OH 43113.
