Nancy Valentine Maxson, 78, of Circleville, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014, after a series of illnesses. She was a resident at Logan Elm Healthcare Center. She was born May 22, 1935 to the late Mary (Overly) and Edwin Goldsberry. Nancy was a member of O.E.S. 411 of Kingston and had worked at GE for 17 years and had various jobs when they lived in Arizona. Nancy was always a worker. Nancy along with her husband Don was very well known for their homemade noodles, apple butter, honey comb, and honey. Nancy loved cooking and enjoyed taking care of her family, as well as others. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; and step-daughter, Kevelyn Mancini. She is survived by her husband Don Maxson Sr. of Circleville, brother; Mickey (Margie) Stump of Circleville, sister, Penny (Damon) Fox of Circleville, son, Butch (Pam) Valentine of Laurelville, daughter, Corene “Corky” (Wayne) Cowdery of Washington C.H., step-sons, Donnie Jr. Maxson of Circleville, Lonnie Maxson of Grove City, Ronnie (Kathy) Maxson of Circleville, step-daughters, Melanie (Dave) Schleich of Williamsport, Anjanette (Chad) Spangler of Grove City, brother-in-law, Ramon (Nancy) Maxson of Laurelville, sister-in-law, Wanda (George) Butler of Circleville, 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and again from 6-8 p.m. Eastern star services will be held Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to Logan Elm Healthcare Resident Council Fund, 370 Tarlton Road, Circleville, 43113.
