Neva Belle Swackhammer Schlichter, 80 of Circleville, went home to be with our Lord, December 22, 2010 at Pickaway Manor. She was born October 31, 1930, the daughter of George Albert and Mary E. (Turner) Swackhammer. Neva was a devoted wife and mother that loved her family. She was a member of Circleville First Church of Christ in Christian Union. She was preceded in death by her parents, her only brother, Francis Swackhammer; sisters, Florence & Vonnie Swackhammer, Evelyn Moore, Marcella Lively, Norma Culbertson, Alberta Smith, Velma Blue and Barbara Allen. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David P. Schlichter; children, Denny (Glenna) Schlichter of Circleville, Jerry Wharf of Colorado, Joellen (Tom) Byerly of Morrow, Jeanne (Mark) McCall of Circleville and Chaplain Major David R. (Suzann) Schlichter of Fayetteville, NC and her only surviving sister, Jeannie Tarpey of Columbus; grandchildren, Steven and Amy Wharf, Janice Finch, Bob and Andrew Byerly, Jordan, Brandon and Benjamin Schlichter, Timothy and Jennifer McCall and Johannah England and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday December 27, 2010 at the First C.C.C.U. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to C.C.C.U. Missionary Dept.
