Nita Shaffer

Nita L. Shaffer, 57, of Richmondale, died Oct. 18, 2012 at her residence. She was born Oct. 30, 1954 in Pickaway County, Ohio, the daughter of William and Florence (Wilson) Whaley. Nita was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Butch and Bob Whaley. She is survived by her husband, Earl R. Shaffer Sr.; children, Earl Richard Shafer Jr., Matthew A. Shaffer, Tabitha Fout, Ruth Shaffer and Shannon Knece, Draithan Shaffer and 15 granchildren, 4 great grandchildren and sisters, Norma Mogan, Helen Purcell, Barbara Hill, Dorothy Knipp and Vicky Zahard. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 23, 2012 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Richmondale Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday.
