Norma Elizabeth Rice, 92, of Olathe, KS., passed away May 17, 2011. Funeral service will be held 10:30 am Mon., May 23, 2011 at Wellman-Kinzer Funeral Home, 509 Washington Ave., Washington Court House, OH 43160. Burial follows at Reber Hill Cemetery, Pickaway County, OH. Visitation 2:00-4:00 pm Sun., May 22, 2011 also at Wellman-Kinzer Funeral Home. Norma was born Dec. 1, 1918 in Washington Court House, Ohio to Ray and Mabel Leeth Merritt. She graduated from Washington High School. Mabel married Rev. Cecil H. Rice in 1939. She was a member of Heritage Memorial Church in Washington Court House, OH. Norma loved her family and enjoyed being a homemaker. She was an avid reader and liked going for motorcycle rides. Norma was a precious lady with a great sense of humor. She will be dearly missed.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband Cecil in 1986; her parents; daughter Linda Cecile Allison; brothers Warren and Ray Merritt. She is survived by son H. Blaine Rice and wife Mary Beth of Olathe, KS; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
