Norman Poling

Norman E. “Beecher” Poling, 81, of Amanda, died January 11, 2017 at his residence. He was born June 14, 1935 in Hocking County, the son of the late Theodore and Mildred (Peck) Poling. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Carpenters Local 200. He is survived by his wife, Norma (Nungester) Poling; children, Dianna Poling, Mitchell (Beth) Poling, Roger Poling, Tina (Wayne) Zeimer, Carla (Larry) Sharp and Steven (Christina) Poling; 18 grandchildren, Heather (Jeremy Nelson) Poling, Miles, Zach, Harley, Sam and Chase Poling, Rachel (Nick) Maynard, Ashley (Chris) Shoup, Nick Poling, Summer (Tom) Sisterman, Brandi (Brandon) Sparkman, David Zeimer, Cody, Cassidy and Shiane Sharp, Shelby, Jessica and Tyler Poling; 11 great grandchildren, Clinton, Hailey, Klutch, Sophie, Jackson, Hayden, Kolton, Kennedy, Madison, Tucker and Charli; siblings, Delbert (Arlene) Poling, Gerald “Pete” (Bobbi) Poling, Violet Thompson, Donna Swackhammer, Wanda Johnson and Janet Amerine; special friends, Joyce Marioth, Larry Howell, Bob Smith and niece, Robin Poling. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday January 15, 2017 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville, with Pastor Ronald Goodling, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Green Summit Cemetery.
