Olive L. (Spangler) Neff, 86, passed away on Wednesday, July 22,2015 at Logan Elm
Health Care.
Olive was born March 8, 1929, to Russell R. and Helen (Barr) Spangler, who preceded
her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elden Neff, brothers,
Russell Spangler, Jr., Marvin Spangler, and Max Spangler, and sister, Jeannette
(Spangler) Martin.
She is survived by her children, Donald (Linda) Neff, of Ashville, and Darlene (John)
Glick of Circleville, grandchildren Jennifer (Troy) Rieder, Jill (Damien) Garnett, Kari
(Eric) Karshner, Justin (Chelsea) Glick, and Kimberly Glick, and great-grandchildren
Nicholas, Taylor, and Baileigh Rieder, Katelyn and Maddyson Garnett, Annie and Max
Karshner, and Emily Glick, brother Walton (Anabel) Spangler, sister Doris (Harvey)
Seitz, and many beloved nieces and nephews who referred to her as "Aunt Sis."
Olive was a life-long member of East Ringgold UMC and has attended Emmett Chapel
UMC for the last few years. She was a 1947 graduate of Walnut Township High school.
She worked for Columbus and Southern Electric Company, Pickaway County ASCS,
Pickaway Grain, and retired after twenty-six years from Pickaway SWCD.
Olive was an avid reader, loved flowers, gardening, knitting, crocheting, her family,
music, and all things Ohio State.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Logan Elm Health Care and
Heartland Hospice Care for their exceptional care of our mom and grandma and for
taking care of us, as well.
Service will be held Saturday, July 25, at 10:30 a.m. at Wellman Funeral Home of
Circleville. Visitation will be 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Friday, July 24.
