On November 11, 2012 the Lord called home the best mother two daughters could ever ask for, Pamela Sue Hedges after a courageous battle with cancer(the cancer diagnosis came after taking her May 9, 2012 to have her gall bladder removed… a complete shock). She was born May 1, 1947 in Circleville, Oh the daughter of Clarence Jr and Eleanor L. Shaw Hancher. On September 8 1967 she married the most faithful man a bride could ask for Richard Eugene Hedges, whom preceded her in death May 3, 2006. Pam was also preceded in death by her parents, her in laws, sisters in law, some of the greatest Aunts and Uncles ever, and a few cousins.
Pam is survived by her loving daughters Laura R. and Christa L. Hedges both of Circleville; Christa’s boyfriend, Jason H. Sparks of Stoutsville; aunts Jean Schiff of Ashville and Jane Winfough of Circleville; sister in law Barbara Licata of Patchagou, New York; sister Natalie Hancher of Jacksonville, Florida; cousins Vicki Jo (Donald) Hamilton of Circleville, Michael Schiff and David Schiff (Molly) both of Ashville; John (Amy) McGinnis of Mentor, Kara (Terry) Madson of Campbell Ca and Brooks Shaw of Ca; her very special best friend of 52 years Merry Kay Mills of Ashville; several fabulous nieces and nephews, and friends Mona Barthelmas and Susan Metzler both of Circleville; and her beloved miniature goldendoodle Bo whom provided her with many smiles and laughs in his two years with her; and her grand dogs Molly, Sophie, Max and Jake.
Pam was a quiet, loyal, loving, and wonderful woman. She loved going any kind of shopping with her family and friends, out to eat and to craft shows near and far. She loved sitting on the deck for a cook out or a relaxing morning cup of coffee listening to her water fall and fish pond in the background . She loved camping especially at Long’s Retreat, being outside, flowers, and her home…especially decorating it. She was an amazing mother, friend, and just person in general. She loved her family and her dogs. She will be missed more than words can ever express and losing her has created a void in many lives that will never be filled.
Graveside committal service will be held at Forest Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Friday November 16, 2012 with Pastor Bob Henry officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were completed by the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville.
