Patsy J. Hooks Kuun, 63, passed away unexpectedly of heart failure on March 17, 2012 at her home. She was born April 21, 1948 in Pickaway County to Ray A. and Janet E. (Funk) Hooks who preceded her in death. In 1985 she married Herman Kuun who survives her. Also surviving are brothers, Jack R. (Yvonne) Hooks and Richard (Cynthia) Hooks both of Circleville; nieces and nephews, Lisa R. Hooks of Dallas, TX, James P. (Jonnie) Hooks of Circleville, Lora Hooks of Dayton, OH, Kelly Valentino (James) of Baycliff, TX, Julie Hooks of League City, TX, Travers Hooks (Jennifer) of Texas City, TX, Jodi (Ronnie) Holcomb of Alvin, TX, Richard and Mitchell Hooks of Circleville. Special lifelong friends, Carol Palmer, Mario and Marilyn Ciardelli of Columbus, OH. Patsy graduated from The Ohio State University with a Master’s Degree in Health Education. She also was a graduate of The Institute of Holistic Health careers and currently practiced reflexology. She was a member of Ohio SOPHIE and was an active member of The World Cheetah Conservation Foundation making several trips to Namibia, Africa on their behalf. She was employed at The Ohio State University for many years and retired from that position in 2007. She leaves behind her beloved cats, Kixx and Stitches. Patsy was a giver and she truly loved her family. Her most loving and unselfish act was donating her bone marrow to her brother, Jack. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 22, 2012 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
