Pearlena Johnson

Pearlena Lou Thompson Johnson, 77, Laurelville, died December 24, 2017 at Berger Hospital. She was born on May 11, 1940 in Perry Twp, Hocking County, OH, the daughter of the late Howard “Bud” and Bernice (Fetherolf) Thompson. She graduated from Laurelville High School. She was a member and pastor’s wife of Pleasant Ridge C.C.C.U. and former missionary to Papua, New Guinea. She is survived by her husband, Leland Johnson whom she married on June 8, 1958; daughter, Joanie (John) Vannatter; their children, Michael (Stephanie) Vannatter and Riley; Matthew Vannatter, Morgan Vannattter, Miles Vannatter and son, Joshua; daughter, Mackenzie (Ryan) Ogan and their children, Kayden and Kole; son, Jeffrey (Nancy) Johnson and their children, Jason Johnson, Andrew Johnson and Daniel (Sara) Johnson; son, James (Rebecca) Johnson and their children, Jennifer, Joseph and Ryan Johnson, Julie Johnson, Jonathan (Crystal) Johnson and their children, Joshua, Jayla and Jacob Johnson; sisters, Bonnie (David) Karshner, Corina (Larry) Stump, Brenda Thompson, Twila (Larry) Martin and host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday December 29, 2017 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville with Michael Holbrook officiating.
