Peggy Self, 91, of Washington C.H. passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2012. She was born on July 12, 1920 in Fayette County to Clarence and Helen (Wilson) Dewees. She was a member of Staunton United Methodist Church, Post 25 American Legion Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Self on May 24, 2005, and by two sisters, Donna Murdock and Edith Clauson.
Mrs. Self is survived by her children, David Kent Self, Diane Kitchen, Gary (Marty) Self, Dean (Debbie) Self, Pat Self, grandchildren, Cindy, Chad, Doug, Brian, Branson, Scott, Brad and Cody Self, 15 great grandchildren, and by one sister, Dixie Dewees.
Funeral services for Mrs. Self will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Wellman-Kinzer Funeral Home with burial to follow in Staunton Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00.
