Reba Ann (Frosini) Vassallo, 82, of Circleville, Ohio passed away on October 27, 2024.  Reba was born on June 7, 1942 to Pearl (Willett) Whitney and Edward Whitney in Wellsville, NY.  After Reba graduated from Wellsville High School, she went on to receive her BA in elementary education from Rhode Island College and her master’s degree from Mount St. Joseph University.  In 1971 Reba and her late husband, Ray Frosini settled in Circleville with their three daughters.  Reba began teaching for Circleville City Schools in the early 1980’s and retired from there in 2002.  Teaching her fourth-grade students at Court Street Elementary along with forming the lasting friendships with her fellow teachers were a few of her greatest joys.  Over the years, Reba was a member of AAUW, Gourmet Club, and volunteered for the Pickaway County Humane Society.  Reba loved to travel and cook.  She was also an avid reader, animal lover, and exercise fanatic.  But most of all, she loved her daughters and grandchildren.  She was always their biggest cheerleader and supporter whether it was being a room mother for countless years, a Brownie leader, or enthusiastically rooting them on at every sporting event, even traveling around the country to do so.  Reba was preceded in death by her husbands Raymond Frosini and Anthony Vassallo, her brothers Donald Whitney and Leonard Whitney, and sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Jim Swarthout, and brother-in-aw Enso Frosini.  She is survived by her daughters, Elisa (Keith) Peters, Christina Frosini, and Gina (Michael) Herhuth, sister, Gayle (Jim) Schober, step-daughters Christine (Russ) King, Nina (Paul) Wason, Kathy Dominic, and Carol (Peyton) Snead, grandchildren David (Olivia) Branham, Matthew (Chelsea) Branham, Rebekah (Matthew) Cline, Rachel Branham, Maxwell, Jacob and Isabella Herhuth, great-grandchildren Callie, Cadee, and Cooper Branham, Briggs and Colbie Branham, former son-in-law Michael Branham, special friend Lilly Jaracz and many loving nieces and nephews.  Calling hours will be held at the Wellman Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 3-7 p.m. with a funeral mass on Thursday, October 31, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Circleville City School Foundation.  Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
