Richard Baranick

Richard “Dick” Baranick Sr., 82, of Circleville, Ohio passed away January 19, 2018 at his residence with his wife of 62 years by his side. They were married Sept. 3, 1955 in St’s Peter and Paul Greek Catholic Church in Patton, Pennsylvania. Richard was born in Patton, Pennsylvania July 12, 1935 the son of John and Sue (Petresky) Baranick. He graduated from Patton High School in 1953, retired from EI Dupont after 35 years of service, was a member of St. Joseph Church in Circleville, Ohio, was a golden age member of the Eagles Aerie #685, was an avid sports fan enjoying the Ohio State Buckeyes, St. Louis Cardinals (Stan Musial) and the Pittsburg Steelers. He also enjoyed bowling and softball in his earlier days. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Michael and brother Wayne. He is survived by his wife Mary (Bender) Baranick, sons Bob (Kathy) Baranick, Rick (Denise) Baranick, grandson Collin (Brittany) Baranick, two great granddaughters Ava and Mila Baranick, sisters Beverly (Gerald) Little of Gainsville, VA, Janet Penelton of Viginia Beach, VA, brother Tom (Sue) Baranick of Lancaster, NY, sisters in law Betty Naylor of Salina, KS, Kathryn (Len) Eggert of Brookpark, Ohio, special friend Danielle Robbins of Smyrna, GA and by several nieces and nephews. Per Richards request there will be no viewing. A Mass of Christian burial will take place Friday, January 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 134 W. Mound Street in Circleville with Father Ted Machnik officiating. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Joseph Restoration, 134 W.
