Richard Eugene McElroy, 50 of Chillicothe passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on January 8, 2018. He was born August 24, 1967 in Columbus, Ohio. Richard was a veteran of the United States Army serving two tours of duty from July, 1986 to July, 1993 and worked for the Chillicothe Veteran's Administration. The son of the late Jacqueline and Jack Neuvirth. He is survived by his son, Ian McElroy, daughter Kelly McElroy and great love Heide Maria McElroy; Sister, Lisa Usselman (Aaron), Sister Rhonda Lombardo (Frank), Brother, Timothy McElroy (Abby); Nephews Aaron, Joey and Aydin, Nieces, Rachael, Ashley, Megan and Kati; He had 7 great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 24th at 11:00 AM at the Chapel at Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery, 1819 Hitler Road 1, Circleville, Ohio. A gathering will immediately follow at the AMVETS Hall, 818 Tarlton Road, Circleville, Ohio. Wellman Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
