Richard Ramey

Richard Ramey 75, of Circleville, passed from this life Monday April 9, 2012 at Berger Hospital. He was the adopted son/grandson of Ezra and Mary (Fuller) Ramey, who preceded him. He was also pre-deceased by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ann (Posey) Ramey; his daughter, Vicki (Roger) Lucas of Circleville, son, Mike (Elizabeth) Ramey of New Holland and granddaughters, Michelle and Sarah who were the joys of his life. He also had two canine companions, Buddy and Lucky. Rich retired from Techneglas of Columbus in 1996 after 37 years. He was an avid car collector and racing homing pigeon fancier. Rich was recognized in 2003 by the American Racing Pigeon Union for “providing tremendous support during research to protect the sport of racing homing pigeons for future generations.” Ann would like to thank Dr. Nancy Alkire, the staff of Berger Hospital and Heartland Hospice for their excellent care and support for Richard during his illness. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday April 13, 2012 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
