Robert Burton

Robert Burton, 92, of Circleville passed away on April 8, 2017 at the Wyngate Assisted Living Community of complications from Alzheimer’s. He was born on November 4, 1924 in Chillicothe to Harry and Cora (Hammon) Burton. Robert graduated from Adena, served in The Army Air Corp during WWII, went to Watchmakers School in Elgin IL and opened Burton’s Jewelry in Circleville in 1951. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Julia (Michael) Burton, three brothers Darwin, John and Olen and sister Leola Evans. Robert is survived by his sons Michael D. (Judith), Robert “Pat” (Peg) Burton, grandchildren Michele (Kevin) Litman, Nate (Muriel) Burton, Darrin Burton, Adriane (Tim) Scott and Tyler Burton and by great grandchildren Caleb, Reagan, Jack and Mindaleigh. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with burial to follow in Floral Hills Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Alzheimers Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
