Robert G. Covell, 78, of Stoutsvtille, passed away August 31, 2009 at his residence. He was born December 25, 1930 in Fairfield Twp. IL, the son of William and Florence (Moore) Covell. Robert was forced into a life of maturity at an early age. His parents were both deceased before his teenage years. At a very young age he worked to help provide for his brothers and sisters. His exceptional work ethics began then and would be carried on into his adult life. He was a loving and loyal husband and father who always provided for his wife and eleven children. He loved his family and the Lord and tried to live in such a way that his children and others would all learn by his example. He was respected by his family and peers for his exceptional work ethics and known by all for his honesty and integrity. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him! He attended Circleville Church of Christ in Christian Union and was retired from Fishel Company as a superintendent and Operators Engineers Local 18 as an operator. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis (Campbell) Covell; brothers, Bill, Ed and Max and sisters, Margaret and Madge. He is survived by his children, Christine (Terry) Thomson of Circleville, Joan (Brad) Brizendine of IN, Dana (Don) Pinkstock of PA, Andrea (Mike) Adams of Stoutsville, Laurie (Steve) Ulmer of PA, Terry (Kay) Covell of Lancaster, Tim (Missy) Covell of Circleville, Robert (Renee) Covell of Circleville, Scott (Joyce) Covell of Lancaster, Pat (Pam) Covell of Stoutsville and Max (Paula) Covell of Stoutsville; 44 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday September 4, 2009 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with Pastor Greg Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First C.C.C.U. Building Fund.
