Robert Delong

Robert L. DeLong, 92, of Adelphi, died September 28, 2010 at Pickaway Manor. He was born March 31, 1918 in Laurelville the son of Edgar and Elsie (Leist) DeLong. He was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran and worked at Adelphi Bank for 45 years and was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Laurelville. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Helen Bower. He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Jordan) DeLong; sons, Mark A. (Betsy) DeLong of Columbus and Barry (Debbie) Delong of Rockbridge; grandchildren, Eric (Lisa), Paul, Matt, Erin and Evan; great grandchildren, Rachel, Macie and Ella and brother, Don (Lou) DeLong. Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday October 1, 2010 at Green Summit Cemetery with military graveside honors. Arrangements were completed by the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville.
