Robert Van Gundy, Jr

Robert R. Van Gundy, Jr., 84, of Circleville, died June 1, 2013 at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice. He was born June 8, 1928 in Tarlton, the son of Robert and Edith (Shaw) Van Gundy. He was retired from Lincoln Molded Plastic and was a former Boy Scout Leader. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gene, Jim and John Van Gundy; sisters, Elizabeth, Maxine, Joan, Donna Van Gundy and Mary Katherine Hart. He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Jacobs) Van Gundy; children, Jeffrey (Donna) Van Gundy, Kathy Moore (Jake Carrel) and Joy (Mike) Kerek; 5 grandchildren, Tanda and Robbie Moore, Kimberly (Eric) West, Denise and Jacob (Jordan) Van Gundy; 2 great granddaughters, Chloe Jane and Josie Marie; brothers, Gerald and Ron “Joe” Van Gundy. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday June 6, 2013 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in New Holland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Brooks Yates Special Olympics.
