Robert Lloyd

Robert Lee Lloyd, 88, of Circleville, passed from this life to meet his Lord and Savior on Friday December 17, 2010 at Circleville Care & Rehab. He was born December 28, 1921 in Chillicothe the son of John and Sara (Mace) Lloyd. He married the former Virginia Streitenberger who passed away October 30, 2004. He was a member of Circleville Church of Nazarene. He was a devoted and loving husband and devoted to his church. Bob graduated from Kingston High School in 1941. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII as a flight engineer on a bomber B24. He served in Japan and Hawaii. After the service he went to work at the Chillicothe VA and then at Dupont until retirement. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Frances Kempton, Jane Higgley, Mildred Wickensimer, Beatrice Schreiber, Mary Shoemaker and Jesse, Silas and Edward Lloyd. He is survived by his sisters Lois Bernard of Charlestown, WV, Kathryn Friedli of Chillicothe and Helen Hall of Pasadena, CA, brother Gordon Lloyd of Circleville, brother-in-law Don (Shirley) Streitenberger, nieces Beverly (Wertie) Teets, Brenda (Harvey) Cassidy and Karen (Scott) Clifton and several great nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday December 20, 2010 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Springbank Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to Circleville Church of Nazarene.
