Robert "Sonny" Harrison

Robert “Sonny” Harrison, 81, of Circleville passed away on April 18, 2023.  He was born on October 17, 1941 in Circleville. Sonny retired from Owens Corning with 35 years’ service.  He was a Vietnam Army Veteran who loved camping with family and friends and working on old cars.  He was always there when you needed him.  Sonny was a devoted husband, dad, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.  Above all he loved his family and friends.  He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.  In addition to his parents Earl and Mary (McKitrick) McGown he is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Boltenhouse) Harrison, infant sister Shirley, sister Joy Brown, grandson Joshua Estep and son-in-law David Cockrell.  Sonny is survived by his daughter Karen Cockrell, son Leonard “Lennie” (Kathy) Gibbs, grandchildren, Shane (Shannon Patel) Estep, Brandon Estep, Jeni (Tim) Holland, Courtney (Fahim) Gibbs, Robert Kemp, honorary Jennifer Hunter, great grandchildren Angie and Alex Estep, Miah, Alexis, Adelynn Holland, brother Ronnie (Maxine) Harrison and by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery.  Visitation  will be on Friday from 11-1 p.m.   Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
