Roger Atwood

Roger Allen Atwood, age 77, of Circleville passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Chillicothe VA. He was born on August 13, 1939 in Circleville to the late Clement V. and Dorothy Mae (Harral) Atwood. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Atwood. Roger is survived by his brother Paul R. (Betty) Atwood; his nephew, Eric (Joy) Atwood and their daughter Carly; and his niece, Marcia (Mark) Ruff and their children, Matthew, Mitchell, and Mae. He graduated from Jackson Township School in 1958. He served in the United States Air Force and retired from the Circleville DuPont Plant. Roger attended the Mt. Sterling Church of the Nazarene for many years. He was a lifetime member of Amvets 2256 and the Washington C.H. VFW. Friends may call at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Densil Wright officiating. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday July 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Forest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of one’s choice.
