Ronald Beatty

Ronald C. Beatty, 79, of Circleville, died July 19, 2011 at Riverside Hospital. He was born September 3, 1931 near Cove, OH, in Jackson County, the son of Ira and Mary (Hunter) Beatty. He was a graduate of Jackson High School and Portsmouth Interstate Business College; a Korean War veteran and served 8 years in the United States Air Force; member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 618 of Williamsport and Amvets Post 2256 of Circleville and was retired from E.I. DuPont. He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Beatty; daughter, Cindy Beatty; 3 brothers, John, Gene and Dwight and 2 sisters, Marcella and Arlene. He is survived by his wife, Norma (Alexander) Beatty; 2 sons, Rick (Carol) of Bradenton, FL and Brad of Circleville; 2 step daughters, Vicki Diehl and Linda (Jeff) Kane of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Kelly King, Brianna Parish, Ryan, Eric, Josh and Caleb Beatty, Mark Diehl, Angie Johnson, Crystal Miller and Jeffrey Kane; several great grandchildren; sisters, Bernice Hunsinger of The Villages, FL and Marjorie Baehr of Gahanna; brothers, Edgar of Jackson, Bernard of Pinnacle, NC, twin brother, Donald of Dublin and Roger of Wellston. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday July 23, 2011 at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Springlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Berger Hospice or American Heart Association.
