Ron passed from this life at home with his family by his side. He is now in Heaven with Jesus and all who passed before him. Ron Waugh was born on February 5, 1945 in Xenia to Ben and Marg Waugh of Jamestown, OH. Ron is a Viet Nam Veteran. He served in the Army from 1967 to 1969. His training was in Georgia, he served the first year at Fort Meade, Maryland and the last part in Thailand.
Ron spent his childhood in Jamestown. He attended Greenview High School. He played football and played drums in the band. After school and on weekends, he worked at Harold's St. Clair Station and helped out farmers. On July 01, 1966 Ron married the "Love of His Life", Linda (Sue) Speakman. They would have been celebrating their 49th anniversary this year. Ron is survived by his wife, Linda, sons, Andy (Becky) Waugh of Pataskala and Ray Waugh of Williamsport, grandchildren, Molly, Brandon, and Becca of Pataskala, Paul Hill and Jesse Hill of Circleville, and Cody (Candice) Johnston of Amanda. Others surviving are two sisters-in-laws, Bea Smith and Nancy Speakman of Circleville, nieces, Carrie Sue (Greg) Hill and sons Paul and Jesse, Gina (Mike) Stiles, Paula (Mike) Gillian of Circleville, nephews, Rick (Ellie) Speakman, Sam Speakman, Randy Speakman, Mike (Debbie) Speakman and Dennis Johnston of Circleville, Terry (Edie) Speakman of Kingston, and Rusty (Jen) Speakman of Colorado. He also leaves behind his special doggie, Frosty. He is also survived by many other cousins, great nieces and nephews, and friends. Those preceding him in death are his parents, Marj and Ben Waugh, his Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Beaman and Flota Speakman, nieces, Tracy Johnston, Carol LeMaster, brother-in-law Clyde Speakman, and brother-in-law, Sam Speakman and sister-in-law, Faye Speakman.
Ron worked at RCA for 23 years. He loved God, his family, and friends. He would "give the shirt off his back" to anyone in need. Ron was a kind, thoughtful man. He had a great sense of humor and he laughed a lot. Ron never knew a stranger. Viewing hours are 1:00-3:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, and the funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 21 at Wellman's Funeral Home, 1455 North Court Street, Circleville, OH. Chaplain Jim Ferrell will be officiating the Service.
