Ronnie Joe Black passed away after a long battle with cancer in Williamsport, Ohio surrounded by his family. He was born December 8, 1946 in Bryan County, Oklahoma to parents John Samuel Black and Emogene Jean Davison.
Joe was an entrepreneur. He worked in numerous occupations including a Service Manager at a Chevrolet dealership and was skilled in many trades in the construction industry including building houses, subdivisions, bridges, large work site prep, and swimming pools. He owned and operated multiple businesses including a construction company, liquor store, restaurants, bar, auction services, car lot, several convenience stores, a Snap On Tool route, and semi transport of animals and cargo. He was always dreaming of his next project and new business. Joe would pursue these until operational and would move onto the next venture.
Joe enjoyed helping his children with their homes and spending time with his family. Joe and Winnie enjoyed many years of traveling while visiting their children and grandchildren across the United States. They loved going to Cancun and the Dominican Republic. He will be missed by family and friends.
Joe is preceded in death by his late wife, Joni and his parents, Samuel and Emogene.
Joe is survived by his wife of 23 years, Winifred; one sister Corinne (Jim) Davidson; his children Kelly (Lorie) Wallace, Korby (Jolene) Wallace, Jennifer (Trevor) Hoehn, Neil (Trish) Harvey, and Jana (John) Reisinger; grandchildren Chancellor, Morgan, Blakeley, Kaycee, Haylei, Chyann, Triston, Allie, Jace, Katie, Chelsea, Jonas, Ty and Colt. Nephew, Chad (Karen) Crawford; niece, Chloe. In addition to his family, Joe is survived by his long time friend, Bryant Jones.
Joe’s wish was to be taken home and buried in Oklahoma. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma performed by Brown Funeral Home for family and friends.
