Ronnie Thompson

Ronnie G. Thompson, 76, of Circleville passed away on January 16, 2016. He was born on July 18, 1939 in Ashland, KY. to Roger and Beatrice (Stevens) Thompson. He was preceded in death by his father; Roger Thompson, his mother; Beatrice Stevens Orin, brothers; BJ and Gary Thompson and sister; Connie Adams. Ronnie was a Navy Veteran, life member of Amvets Post 2256, BPOE 77, Heber Lodge 501 F&AM and was a retired Police Officer for the City of Circleville for 30 years. He is survived by his wife; Carol (Cassidy) Thompson, children; Greg and John (Brenda) Thompson and Carl Coleman, grandchildren; Brittany, Jack and Jacob, great granddaughter; Aubree, stepson; Butch (Cathy) Pontious, step-daughters; Pam Smith and Sherry (Doug) Crawford, , step-grandchildren; Melanie Galloway, Julie Howard, Staci Spangler, Martin Crawford, Ben Crawford and Heath Pontious, 5 step great grandchildren, sisters; Anita (Bill) Hammond, Linda (John) Payne and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery.
