Roy Mettler

Roy E. Mettler age 93 years 11 month passed away early Wednesday morning at Ohio Health Berger hospital. He was born March 28, 1931 to Harry and Glaydes Mettler both deceased. He is also preceded in death by 5 brothers and 5 sisters. Roy served in the U.S. Army stationed in Korea. Roy is survived by his wife of 69 ½ years Dorothy (Kuhn) Mettler; and the best son and friend a father could ask for Daniel Mettler. (He called him Bink); granddaughters Ashtin (Andrew) Bynorth; Hunter and Hadleigh Mettler; 14 great grandchildren; brothers Ronald and Jerry Mettler; special brothers-in-law Woody (Carol) Kuhn and Kenny (Stella) Kuhn and by several nieces and nephews. Roy retired from the Village of Ashville after 31 years of service, Harrison Township Fire and chosen as one of Ashville Community Men’s Club distinguished citizens in 2012. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Harrison Township Cemetery.
