Russell L. Ogan, 88, of Circleville went to be with the Lord and his late wife Ike Ogan on April 15, 2017. Russell was a retired Army Staff Sergeant having served in the Korean War. He was born on December 14, 1928 in Pickaway County to Fred and Mary (Chandler) Ogan. He served as a Law Officer and Court Bailiff for the Circleville Police Department and also was a Park Ranger at some of the Ohio Parks. He loved to ride horses, bowl, hunt and fish. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church, VFW, Amvets and the American Legion. Russell was preceded in death by wife Ida Mae Ogan, his parents and step parents, one sister, two step sisters and by two step brothers. Russ leaves behind two sons Danny (Marie), David (Cindy) Ogan, daughter Pat Ogan Hedges, grandsons Darcy and Alex Ogan, granddaughters Shannon Gray, Kristy (Shawn) Dountz, Michelle Ogan, four great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren, brother David and his nieces and nephews and his little side kick Muttley. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastor Derrick Holmes officiating with burial to follow in Floral Hills Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The family would like to thank Carrie from Berger Hospice, Kim Garrett from Berger Hospital, Toni Peele and all the Second Baptist Church.
