Ruth Bartholomew

Ruth E. Burns Bartholomew, 91, of Circleville passed away peacefully at 8:35 a.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017. She was born on January 11, 1926 in Circleville to Robert and Edith (Coleman) Burns. Ruth was a hair dresser for many years. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, and having a good time. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was loved by all. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Burns, her mother Edith Burns Russell, her husband Robert Bartholomew, sister Norma Burns Collins and by brothers Carl and Lloyd Burns. Ruth is survived by her daughters Sandie (Leroy) Hagen, Joyce (Ray) Miller, Kim (Raymond) Stewart, step children Bob Jr. and Ron Bartholomew, Peggy (Dave) Gamble, Pat (Harry) Lee, grandchildren Krista (Randy) Jarvis, Kevin (Annette) Hagen, Karla (Terry) Bower, Kara (Matthew) Merz, Brad (Kendra) Miller, Joshua (Mary Kate) Stewart, Alicia (Jeremy) Daugherty, numerous great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly, brother Maynard (Helen) Burns and so many wonderful friends and a special young neighbor Abby. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville with Rev. William Hill officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery.
